The People’s Choice Awards will be a whole lot more interesting this year, according to Life & Style, which claims Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez‘s “nasty rivalry” is threatening to come to a head when the stars, who are both up for an award, come face-to-face at the ceremony next month.
An “insider” for the mag explains, “Cameron has always hated Jennifer because Jen trash-talked her to the press im the 1990s, and Cameron never got over it.”
Their supposed “frosty relationship” began when Lopez dismissed Diaz as a “lucky model” during an interview, writes the tabloid, and alleged “sources” insist the feud escalated when they both worked on What to Expect When You’re Expecting last summer.
Life & Style points out that the two didn’t share any scenes in the film, and quotes a supposed “on-set insider” as saying, “Producers made sure the actresses never crossed paths — even booking Jennifer and her massive entourage into a different hotel in Atlanta.”

And things (supposedly) got even worse from there.
The mag says Diaz flipped when she learned Lopez was going out with Bradley Cooper (whom she was rumored to be dating in 2009), and so “retaliated with Diddy [Lopez's ex] weeks later.”
Now, Life & Style claims Diaz is demanding Diddy “stop talking to Jen!”
Wow, this soap opera sounds more enthralling than most movie scripts.
Unfortunately, it’s all nonsense.
A rep for Diaz tells Gossip Cop, “There is no truth whatsoever to any of this,” adding, “Cameron likes Jennifer” and “was completely enthusiastic about her joining the cast of the movie.”
