Tom Cruise caused the world premiere of his film, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, to be delayed for a full two hours on Wednesday — and nobody seemed to mind.
The actor screened his latest thriller on the opening night of the Dubai International Film Festival, and while attendees at the gala waited inside the theater for the movie to begin, Cruise methodically went up and down the red carpet, signing autographs, posters, and posing for photos with almost every fan there.
Two hours later, Cruise, director Brad Bird, and some of Ghost Protocol‘s co-stars introduced the film for the very patient audience, but not before expressing their thanks to Dubai, where several scenes were shot, including one in which the star is hanging out of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.
