Brad Pitt‘s 48th birthday got off to a musical start Saturday as he and partner Angelina Jolie celebrated with their brood at one of Las Vegas’ few PG offerings: Cirque Du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson The Immortal.”

The rousing show pays tribute to the late “King of Pop” and his industry-changing music.

Pitt, who actually turns 48 on Sunday, sat with Jolie and their six children right near the stage, surprising the performers who had no idea such famous guests would be in attendance.

Apparently impressed by the performance, Pitt reportedly gave a standing ovation before heading to the Four Seasons with his family.
